15 days and counting!!!!!

Well what a week it has been!!!! It started last Sunday morning with a phone call from my mom at 6:40 am to let me know that my dad was being taken to the hospital with what they thought was a kidney stone (it is, it's 4mm). After being told many times to remain calm, as if the news would send me into spontaneous labor, I was then informed I'm not allowed to drive and my brother would be over to pick me up!!! After a fun, comedy filled morning sitting in the ER waiting room, I left the hospital to go home and get ready for the baby shower my mother-in-law was throwing for me. I had a wonderful time and Piper got many beautiful things. I then preceeded to head back to the hospital to see my dad before calling it a night, and yes I drove myself!!!! Now you maybe wondering where my hubby was during all this, well he was away on a guys snowmobile weekend!!! The rest of the week was filled with a return trip to the hospital by my dad Monday night, then Wednesday being the good daughter that I am I went up to baby sit in case dad needed anything!!! Friday was filled with a quiet shopping trip solo for my darling baby girl!!! Saturday found me back in Camden for my brother Jeremy's 28th birthday, with a family dinner that annoyed the crap out of me for some reason followed my ice cream cake and homemade ice cream!!
I would have to say the highlight of the week would be the weird dreams I had Thursday and Friday nights in which I conquered 2 of my biggest fears, snakes and heights!! I'm hoping that this means on a subconcious level I have found peace with impedending labor in my near future and the pain that I know it will bring!!!! Let's hope these last 15 days (give or take) are less eventful than this past week has been!!!!

Some Recent Happenings

Piper's dress for Easter, I was afraid that if she decided to not cooperate again I could possibly lose my chance to shop for her before she's born, so I made the most of yesterday. Just 1 of the outfits I bought her, but my this is my favorite!!!!!
Poppa holding Rylee, can't believe she's already over 3 months old. The time has gone by so fast, I just love going to my mom and dad's and holding her!!!!! She's just sooo cute, and she makes me even more excited and anxious for Piper's arrival!!!!

Carter is definately my brother's son, there is just no mistaking it!!!! He is just nonstop bundle of energy and Poppa's favorite buddy. He just found my mom's stand that used to be her dad's. It still has some of his old glasses in it and Carter thought he'd try on for size!!!! Think he still has some growing to do!!

Piper's bookcase, which I put together myself, thank you very much!!!! I wanted to make sure I got a picture of it looking nice now because I know once she starts crawling it won't look like this again!!!!

We finally got our crib, (thanks mom #2, she wonderful!!!) and Kurt got it all put together the same night we brought it home!!!!! I got the mattress for it yesterday when I went shopping so now that's done!!!! Think we most of the things we are going to need right away for Piper's arrival, hopefully although I'm sure I've missed a few things, I've got her carseat so I can bring her home, that's the most important!!!!

Yesterday (February 5th) I had my drs. appointment and I mentioned that baby girl hasn't been moving as much as I had noticed before, so lucky me I got hooked up to the monitors and has to spend an extra hour at the drs. Luckily the dr. said she didn't see anything bad, her heart rate was good she just wasn't seeing a change like she wanted to, that indicates that baby girl was moving around. I was starting to get a little nervous and was wondering who I should bother at work first my mom or my hubby?? The dr. was going to send me to get lunch and then over to the hospital to be hooked up to the monitors there and have some fancy ultrasound and baby girl decided to give a little kick so everyone would stop talking about her!!! I now have to make time everyday to lay down at different time throughout the day and count how many times she moves in an hour, if it's less then 10 back to the drs. or off to the hospital we go!!! I was so thankful that nothing seems to be seriously wrong that maybe she just has a little of my attitude that I wanted to share a few of my favorite things lately!!!

"Baby Shower"

On Saturday, January 16th, my mom, my sis-in-law Brittany, and Jeremy's girlfriend Cindy threw me the nicest baby shower at Katie and Karl's (same place as our wedding reception)!!! My cousin Chad's girl's Emily and Abby helped hand out the presents to me and my cousin Jolynn's little on Hannah helped me to unwrap!!
Hannah really wanted to open the aqaurium that Piper got my Kurt's sisters!!!

Me and my sisters!!! Starting on the left, Katherine, me, Jen and in front Rebecca, Rachel and Laura!! Lots of aunties to baby sit!!

Piper's closet full of clothes!!!! I think she's set for a while, and this isn't even all of them, my mom still has some outfits for her and I still have to get her a dress for Easter!!! Although I think she'll be set for a few months til summer arrives, don't you??!!

My cousin Phoebe picked out the cutest sneakers for her!!! I can't wait to put them on her!!!

And boots for what little winter will still be left hanging around after she's born!!!

Last but not least the shower cake!!! It was sooo yummy!!!!

About Me

Kurt and I met a little over 4 years ago at a bar in Sherrill. I thought Kurt was soo cute. We started talking, he asked for my phone number, and we have been together ever since. Kurt and I were married on June 28, 2008. The wedding was beautiful despite the lose of power and the possibility of not having a reception. Luckily for us, everything went perfectly and we had the best day ever and all of our family and friends were there to share this special day with us.
