27 weeks and counting!!

This is a 3D photo of baby!! So very cool, it didn't come out that great because baby had his/her self smushed into my left side so it was hard to get a good picture!! If those cheeks are any indication baby is going to look like daddy!!!
Baby profile!!!!

Not only was baby squished into a small space on my left side, baby had his/her foot over his/her head!!! Talk about a flexiable baby!!! Is this a hint that gymnastics classes may be inour future???

25 weeks and counting!!!

Well on Thursday, December 3rd, I was 25 weeks pregnant, and loving almost every minute of it. There are a few things that I don't love as much, like having to pee every time I stand up, the constant heartburn I see to be fighting, I thinking that tums count as a food group now, and it becoming increasing difficult to bend over to put my socks on and get comfortable at night. So if you see me bare foot and sleep deprived in the middle of winter now you know why. Sunday night, December 6th, we experience another milestone in the pregancy that make everything soo worth it. After all the hooting and hollering that went on in our house over a Giants win, the baby decided to kick (which I've been feeling since Oct 22nd) and this time he/she made my belly really move and Kurt got to see and feel it for the 1st time. It is just so unbelievablely cool to lay on the couch and watch my belly make these weird little jumps and be able to put my hand their and feel it too. Kurt loved it and thought it was very cool!!! Despite what sounds like a lot of whining on my part, I've just love being pregnant and am looking forward to the next 15 weeks as we patiently wait the arrival of our sweet baby!!!!

So Much to be Thankful for

Yesterday I came home from doing the baby registry and shopping with my mom in Syracuse to find a beautiful new area rug in our living room!! It's an early Christmas present from Kurt's mom, dad, brother and sisters!!!! You guys are the best!!!! My sis-in-law Katherine picked out the carpet for us and she did a wonderful job, it matches the living room so good!!!! I'm so happy I just love and what a difference it makes in the look of our living room!!!

Wednesday night we stopped over to see Kurt's mom for a minute and she had gotten out this ride on horse that used to be Kurt's when he was little. Mom was sooo generous to give it to Kurt and I for the baby to play with when he or she arrives. It was just soo touching and sweet, thanks mom!!!!
One of the things I am sooo thankful for is our beautiful new baby that will be arriving here before too long!!! Our little peanut is looking more like a baby now and less like fuzzy snowstorm!!!!

My 2nd family on Thanksgiving day!!!! I'm so blessed with amazing in-laws, a girl couln't ask for a nicer and more loving family. Next to my hubbt is his sister Jen, his brother Matt in the back, the triplets, Laura, Rachel and Rebecca and his sister Katherine in the back!!!! There are no pics of me and Kurt with my family because we had Thanksgiving with my family on Friday and almost all of us were in our comfy clothes!!!!

A New Baby!!!!

Here are a few more pictures from the day my new baby niece Rylee was born. Here's grandma holding Rylee. Grandma was the 2nd one to hold her after her daddy and her Big brother Carter!!
Carter was sooo proud to hold his new baby sister!!!
He did however tell poppi later to "throw her back in her basket"
Carter isn't sure what to think of her yet???
Poppi holding his new granddaughter,
Carter came right over to check it out, I don't
think he was to happy with poppi paying attention to
Rylee and not to him!!

Pretty in Pink!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ohhh, The JOYS of home ownersip!!!!!!

Today was our 2nd day of no HEAT at the house!!!! To keep warm kitty and I have had to snuggle to keep warm!!!!! Today we ran out of fuel oil and are freezing!!!! When I called to see about having some delivered I was told maybe tomorrow but the girl wasn't sure she would have to check her computer and get back to me. I'm still waiting and if her computer is anything like mine I'm gonna be waiting a WHILE!!!!!
Friday afternoon kitty and I had to snuggle to keep warm because the nozzle where the fuel oil comes out was plugged because we are near the bottom of the oil tank. We had to spend all afternoon snuggled under the blanket I made to keep warm. Thank goodness my friend Veronica taught me to crochet and I made a warm, snuggly blanket!!!! Luckily my dear husband felt bad that this poor preggo momma had to spend all day cold that he took me out to dinner. My sweet dad-in-law even offered to come over a fix our furnace at 10pm Friday night, when he got out of work!!!! I was already warm and toasty in bed so I figured we could survive until Saturday morning!!! We made it and were warm and toasty until early this morning when we ran out of fuel!!! Here's hoping that we get some heat soon or my next post may show pictures of me in an igloo channeling my inner eskimo!!!!!

16 weeks and counting!!!

Ok, here's the baby belly at 16 weeks. I am 4 months today!! Not all the belly is baby belly some of the belly was there to start with and I enjoyed some taco bell for dinner tonite!! Not the best picture but Kurt was my photographer and he had been enjoying a few adult beverages!! Well for the most part the morning sickness is passing and I'm starting to enjoy food more, let's just hope it doesn't lead to gaining too much weight!! Next week is my checkup and after that our next appointment will be a sonogram for a structure check and if the baby cooperates we can find out if baby K is a boy or girl if we want. I'm having a hard deciding if I want to know the sex of the baby. Part of me wants to be surprised but there are soo many cute baby clothes out there I kinda want to know if I should be shopping for a baby girl or baby boy. I had a dream a few weeks ago that our baby was a boy but part of me thinks that is because I was looking at baby pictures of my husband with my mother-in-law, so now I'm kinda curious. We'll see, guess you'll just have to check back to see what we decide!!!!

Some Birthday fun!!!

Carter with the ladies!!! Not shy at all. He went right sat down and started jabbering away with the girls!! Soo cute!!!

Well Saturday, September 26th, was Kurt's 29th birthday. We had cake and ice cream at the new house to celebrate. I invited both families to come and everyone showed up. (We missed you Kat, she's at college!!). It didn't take Carter long to warm up. After a few minutes he decided to get to know a few of Kurt's sisters. He took his cake and ice cream and went right over and sat down and starting chatting away!!! After a tour of the house Carter discovered my exercise ball that's been collecting dust and thought it looked like fun. At first he just played kickball with poppa but then poppa thought it would be fun to bounce Carter on the ball and Carter agreed!!! With all the fun Carter had you would have thought it was his birthday!!!

"Meet Baby K"

On Tuesday, Aug. 25th, Kurt and I went to our first ultrasound appointment. We got to see our baby, hear his/her heartbeat and baby K was even wiggling around in there. There are just no words to describe how amazing it was to see our baby for the first time. It was great to see that our little peanut, who is making me sick all the time, is doing great. The baby has a good strong heartbeat and is supposed to make his/her appearance between March 18th-22nd. I know come February I will be hoping for sooner rather than later!!! Our next appointment is Sept. 9th and we will have another ultrasound at this appointment!! I can't wait, I hope these next 2 weeks go by fast!!!!

"Happy News!!!"

Kurt and I are very excited to share our happy news with our friends and family!!! We are having a baby!!! Our little bundle is due March 18th, 2010. We couldn't think of a better way to start our next journey together then by starting our family. I will be 10 weeks pregnant on Tuesday and luckily I haven't been feeling too bad. My first doctors appointment was Tuesday, Aug. 11th and they told me everything looks good!!! I was a little thrown off at my 1st appt. when the nurse started asking me questions about when the baby is born and about the hospital! I mean really at this point is that really that important, I haven't even got to see the baby yet!!! I'm excited for my next doctor's appt. because on Aug. 25th we will get to see our baby for the 1st time!!!!
Our focus at the house now has become the baby's room and once we get it finished and I start decorating I will post pictures of the baby's room and the rest of the house!!!!

The House

Carter helping to mop!!

Today was the first day we could start working on the house. The people who lived here before smoked and this bedroom was the worst. The walls were seriously brownish-yellow from the cigarette smoke. It was so disgusting!!! I had to mop the walls with bleach and water to try to removed the stains. The walls just ran brown. I have no idea why anyone would smoke, seriously if you saw the walls you would think twice!!! Thanks to my nephew Carter for the help today too!!!

After Kurt spent most of the afternoon ripping apart our Pepto pink bathroom, he needed a much deserved break. In the back my sister in law, Brittany and my nephew Carter came to get a closer look at Kurt takin' a bath. Carter was very worried that our tub was broke. (Thanks Ry for the picture, I'm sure Kurt thanks you too!!! LOL)

The tub before Kurt's bath!!!

Our bathroom before most of the demo work started. More pictures to come tomorrow. By the time we left at 7:30 tonight the bathroom was completely torn apart. All that's left is the pink tile and the toliet. By Monday or Tuesday I should have a completely new bathroom. So be sure to check back for more pictures. That's all for tonight, I forgot how exhausting it is to remodel!!!

"Big Changes to Come"

Ok, ok I know it's been months since I blogged last but nothing much exciting ever happens and I've been extremely busy the last few weeks. In between getting news that makes me worry and waiting for the end of the school year, we got good news!! The people that are living in our house finally found a place to live so they'll be outa our house soon!!! I spent Sunday night taking things of the wall and packing more boxes. I don't have an official count but I think I've got about 20 boxes of unimportant, rarely used items packed up and ready to move to the new house. Also a few weeks ago I got the news that there might not be a 2nd kindergarten for me to teach next year =( Let's cross your fingers that some more parents decided that a Catholic School education is want they want for their 5 year old. I really love my job and am hoping that I don't have to leave. My other possiblity is teaching either preschool or 6th grade. Preschool, easy done that before, 6th grade, um not sure. Raging hormones and attitude?! Don't really want to but I will to stay at Rome. So if anyone out there has friends who have a 5 year going into kindergarten mention that they should send them to Rome Catholic, I could be their teacher!! That's all for now, when I get a chance I'll be sure to post pictures of the 10 million boxes I'm packing up for the big move!!!! Come on, hurry up July 1st!!!!

Love Being an Aunt!!!

This are some videos of after dinner entertainment at my parent's house last Thursday. I have to say I love being an aunt, I sure if doens't compare to actually being a parent. My nephew Carter absolutely loves his poppa and doens't want anything to do with anyone else if poppa is around to play. His new favorite game is hide and seek and poppa loves to play too. The funniest part is that Carter hasn't grasped the hide part and believes that if he can't see you, you can't see him. Poppa also thought it was to teach Carter to spank his dad with the fly swatter, as you can see that came back to bite poppa in the butt. Anyways I hope you laugh as much as we all did that night.

"A House, A House"

(not our actual house)

Last Saturday Kurt and I had dinner at his parents house, and after many months of waiting we finally found out that his parents are going to sell us Kurt's grandma's house. We are so excited and can't wait. This July we will be able to move and finally have our own house. My mom has already started saving boxes and here before too long I will have to start packing up the apartment and getting ready to move. I know that kitty will love moving, there will be so many more rooms for her to explore. I am so excited to paint and decorate and finally have a house. Now if anyone is looking for something to do this summer feel free to give me a call, we can always extra hands to help with the move, after all many hands make light work!!!

"The Birthday Party"

Tuesday night, January 20th, was my nephew Carter's 2nd birthday! His favorite present was his battery powered John Deere tractor that is mom and dad got him. Lucky for his daddy it came in pieces. My brother had lots of help putting the tractor together, Uncle Gopher and Cousin Tim were lots of help. Once the tractor was together all Carter wanted to do was put things in the bucket and then dump them out. After about a 1/2 hour Carter became brave enough to push the petal and drive the tractor. As soon as I can figure out how to turn the video the right way I will post it so you can see Carter terrorizing everyone on his new toy.

Krista & Dan's wedding

About Me

Kurt and I met a little over 4 years ago at a bar in Sherrill. I thought Kurt was soo cute. We started talking, he asked for my phone number, and we have been together ever since. Kurt and I were married on June 28, 2008. The wedding was beautiful despite the lose of power and the possibility of not having a reception. Luckily for us, everything went perfectly and we had the best day ever and all of our family and friends were there to share this special day with us.
